PRIVACY POLICY

HomiesInParkas (HIPX) is an independent speedsoft team based in Norwalk, Ohio, playing out of Odin's Paradise, 56 St Marys St, Norwalk, OH 44857. This policy covers the public website at homiesinparkas.com and the private team portal used by HIPX members.

Team members: when a team owner or site admin adds you to the portal, we store your name or callsign, email address, assigned role (player, team captain, team owner, or site admin), squad assignment, RSVP and attendance records for games and practices, and your account status (active, pending, or disabled).

Account credentials: passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes by our authentication provider. We can never see or retrieve your password.

Photography: action photos of team members taken at games and practices may be published on the public site and portal galleries.

Security data: to protect sign-in and password-reset from abuse, we temporarily record failed login counts and IP addresses. These counters reset automatically after successful login or after the lockout window expires.

Member data is used only to run the team: sending portal invitations and password resets, managing rosters and squads, scheduling games and practices, tracking RSVPs and attendance, and posting team announcements. We do not sell, rent, or share member data with advertisers or data brokers.

Public visitors see only published game details, team callsigns, and photography. Inside the portal, players see their own team's roster, squads, schedule, and announcements. Team captains and owners manage their own team's members and events. Only the two site administrators can manage all teams and accounts. Access is enforced by the backend on every request, not just hidden in the interface.

Invitations and password resets are sent from noreply@homiesinparkas.com through our email delivery provider. Invitation links expire after seven days. We do not send marketing email.

Member accounts stay active while you are on the roster. If you leave the team, a team owner or site admin can disable or delete your account, which removes your portal access. To request removal of your data or a photo of you from the site, contact the team at chungy@homiesinparkas.com.

The portal runs over HTTPS. Sign-in and password reset are rate-limited and lock after repeated failures. Role permissions are checked server-side, and team owners can only manage their own team.
